How to Save Time & Money Working with Your Manufacturer

Have you started talking to manufacturers about producing your brand?

Maybe you’re still in product development, maybe you’ve done a time study, or maybe you’re still working on your spec sheet…

No matter where you are in the process of starting your fashion or accessories brand, one of the best things you can do right now is educate yourself on sewn manufacturing.

Why?

Because when you do start working with a factory, it’s not their job to educate you.

They’re going to expect you to know what a tech pack is, why grading is a necessity and what terms like “end of the line” and “QC” mean.

And when you do choose a manufacturer to work with, it’s going to be up to you to problem solve and work out ways to save time and money.

It’s up to you to see the red flags in production before they happen.

And that’s why this week’s Live Show is such an important one.

I’m going to be interviewing Marta Miller of Lefty Productions about how to save time and money working with your manufacturer.

Marta runs one of the most popular apparel factories in Los Angeles and has an incredible amount of knowledge and experience when it comes to working with new designers.

So join us on Instagram Live (@factory45co) on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 12:30pm ET and bring your questions.

See you there!
