What is your product(s)?
Mayor’s new short sleeve button down shirts feature authentic designs that represent iconic towns and traditions. We handcraft each button down in Mississippi with breathable cotton fabric to provide customers with a comfortable fit in every stitch.
Where were you with your idea or business before joining Factory45?
Before Factory45, I had an idea for a product. Things were going slow. The structure of Factory45, where Shannon takes you step-by-step through the process of creating a product and business jumpstarted my business.
How did joining Factory45 help you?
Factory45 helped me develop my product better, faster and less expensively than I could have on my own. Shannon’s relationships in the garment industry and the Factory45 community were instrumental. More importantly, I built the foundation for the Mayor brand and business through the Factory45 course, which I believe will setup Mayor for long-term growth and success.
In your opinion, what is the most valuable thing about Factory45?
Shannon is the MVP of Factory45. She is an excellent teacher and coach, providing motivation and accountability along the way. She will show you how to build your clothing business, but you have to put in the work to be successful.
What were some big or small milestones that you hit after going through Factory45?
Launching the Mayor landing page, creating the first sample Mayor button down, launching the Mayor website, completing the first production run and selling the first (and many more!) Mayor button downs.
Please describe your business after Factory45.
Mayor is improving our current product (short sleeve button downs) and creating new products (e.g. long sleeve button downs and sweaters) that fit the Mayor brand.
