Get Your Fashion Startup Questions Answered Live
It’s Hannah from Factory45! I launched my sustainable swimwear brand through Factory45 and now I help other fashion entrepreneurs do the same as an Alumni Mentor.
We’ve all heard the saying, “you don’t know what you don’t know”. This rings true for anything but especially when launching a fashion brand.
Entering the world of sewn product manufacturing as a newbie can be very intimidating. There are a lot of moving parts to coordinate, new lingo to understand, and standard processes that must be followed.
When I was going through Factory45, one of the most valuable aspects of the program was the opportunity to ask questions – and believe me, I had A LOT of questions.
Before joining the program, I had an unofficial mentor in the swimwear industry. She owned a factory specializing in swimwear and was a senior designer for a major bikini brand. However, she was understandably very busy and I had what felt like endless questions about everything from fabric sourcing and tech packs to costing and manufacturing.
I often felt like I was bugging her with questions about the most basic parts of the process, and I set out to look for a resource where I could learn these things on my own. And that’s where Factory45 came to my rescue.
As soon as I enrolled, I had a whole portal of content that explained the entire process behind launching a sustainable fashion brand. But I also had a seasoned mentor who I could always turn to with clarifying questions, advice on how things related to my brand specifically, and support on the road to launch.
Asking questions is one of the best ways to learn and something we encourage all Factory45 entrepreneurs to do — whether it’s through 1:1 texting with their Alumni Mentor, group coworking sessions, masterclasses with Shannon, or our live workshops.
And this week I’m excited to extend that invitation to you! You have the opportunity to join me for a Live Q+A session on Instagram here (@factory45co) TOMORROW Thursday, September 21st at 12:30pm ET.
