What were some big or small milestones you hit after going through Factory45?
The biggest milestone was my successful Kickstarter campaign — I raised $28,627 and pre-sold to 465 backers to fund my first production run. I emailed everyone and their brother trying to get the word out. I have a friend that also is working hard for Inclusion of those with disabilities in the fashion industry, and she helped me get an article in the Huffington Post.
From there it spread like wildfire. My Kickstarter was featured on Mashable (it had 40,000 shares!), Yahoo! News, HelloGiggles, GOOD Magazine, Digital Journal, Fox News and other international press.
I feel as if I have the material and knowledge to sustain a successful business and have met other entrepreneurs who I can turn to for advice. I never feel alone.
